Killing in the name of

(or the story of two nato states)

The need to broaden the horizons of international solidarity and
the common struggle beyond the narrow framework of a na-
tion-state served as the starting point for discussions between
the two collectives. These discussions quickly found common
ground in the fight against exploitation and oppression in eve-
ryday life in both countries. Two states that, during previous
systemic economic crises, were examples of economic progress
and destruction, respectively.

The effort of sweden to join NATO after the outbreak of the war
in ukraine became a matter of concern for both collectives, as it
marks a crucial historical point for the geopolitical and geostra-
tegic redrawing of western blocs. By analyzing the impact this
membership has on the exploited and the oppressed as well as
considering greece’s long-standing participation in NATO, com-
mon positions were identified against interstate wars and increa-
sing militarism.

Furthermore, exploring how joining the alliance changes state
strategy — for example, the end of sweden’s alleged “neutrali-
ty”, increased military spending, intensified efforts to socially
legitimize militarism, and its acceptance — made it possible to
highlight the points that unite the exploited and the oppressed
beyond borders. Finally, we discussed how these factors fuel
national consolidation, participation in interstate massacres on a
global scale, and how the lives of millions are further compressed
and devalued.

For anarchy

Our common discussions have concluded that no matter how
much the rule of law and social peace that states try to impose,
as well as the broader cultural elements in every corner of the
planet differ, the exploitation and oppression of people and the
existing world of power must be eliminated. The anti-state and
anti-authoritarian struggle must turn into a priority and practice
across the entire planet. Solidarity, beyond borders and other
artificial divisions, must grow stronger. Acts of resistance must
succeed in dismantling every form of authority.

Our response to states, bosses, armies, and calls for national
unity is refusal of submission: total draft refusal, marches,
strikes, sabotage, clashes, and every means of struggle — to
end the exploitation of humans by humans, nature by humans,
to eliminate divisions of oppressors and subordinates, for an
anarchist society without rulers, based on common ownership
and equality. For a world where solidarity and mutual aid are
its fundamental core elements. For this world, we will fight
until the end, for the social and class revolution that will spread
worldwide.

For total liberation.

For Anarchy…

Always traitors of the national idea!

Anarchist collective Södra Klubben was launched in Malmö in the fall of 2015.
We are an anarchist collective with different ideological nuances, and we stand
for political diversity. We are fed up with passivity, symbolic activism and we be-
lieve in escalating the uprising and consequently class struggle. In a period when
the state and capital wage another economic and social war against society, we
reclaim our city through resistance, self-organizing, and creating spaces where
we can, ourselves, decide. When fascism is instrumentalized to disarm resistance
and to create scapegoats, our weapon is solidarity with the anarchist/autonomous
movement, migrants and sans papiers, and others who do not fit the fascists’
dystopia. With direct action we attack the apparatus that tries to control our lives.
By acting locally in antiauthoritarian and antisexist structures, our aim is to take
direct control of our lives and our futures. Södra Klubben is a walk on the streets
of Malmö where thousands of contradictions arise against a grey background,
where our needs and doubts color everyday life with resistance.

Anarchist collective Acte was established in Athens, greece in 2020. We put for-
ward a horizontal struggle, without leaders or followers, trusting in the strength
of people from the base of the class pyramid. We are against all forms of authority
and exploitation, and our struggle takes on many forms and expressions. One of
our goals is to expand the struggle, from the sabotage of war and the military, to
confronting the police, the everyday violence of patriarchy, fascism and racism
in our neighborhoods and all over the world. Also, we promote the creation of
communities in opposition to the existing hierarchical and authoritarian models
that the states sustain. We are against bosses, big and small, and seek to build
solidarity between struggles across the globe. We are in solidarity with prisoners,
and we demand the abolition of all prisons. From opposing the torture of prisons
and incarcerations under the guise of democracy, to resisting the exploitation
of nature and non-human animals, we try to unify individual struggles in the
direction of a total rupture with the existing order: for social and class revolution.
We aim to pave the way to anarchy – a stateless, self-managed society of freedom
and equality, spreading worldwide through mutual aid and direct action.
